Unforgettable Languages tries to create a flashcard environment that improves your word association and thereby improve your retention of Japanese vocabulary. Unfortunately, some of their memory devices seem to be a little cheesy, even distracting, so that it may not actually help some people remember vocabulary.
Unforgettable Languages also tries to give small grammar lessons, following with fill-in-the-blank quizzes that are intended to test your knowledge. Some of the grammar lessons aren’t very clear, though, and ultimately the quizzes just end up confusing the user.
If you find word association schemes useful for remembering vocabulary, Unforgettable Languages might be useful for you. At any rate, Unforgettable Languages will never be a complete Japanese curriculum even if there are rudimentary grammar lessons. Use Unforgettable Languages as a supplement to another Learn Japanese program.
